Very good side dish for a homemade enchilada dinner when I'm craving mexican food but am thousands of miles away from home sweet home in Texas. Chicken broth (or chicken base added to the water) makes it more flavorful. I also used Minute parboiled brown rice, so it was a little more nutritious and cut down on cooking time."

Very good, but I did tweak the recipe a bit to my taste... a tomato gravy with the ground beef didn't sound appealing, so I made a brown gravy using a few TBS of flour and a can of beef broth... very remiscient of salisbury steak, yum (just wish I would have had mushrooms)! I used a can of corn, drained, for the veggie layer, although mixed vegg...

Followed recipe exactly, except I used 2 lbs of meat to have leftovers, and it was fantastic. I may have simmered it a bit longer just because I was finishing up sides. The steak was so fall apart tender. Flavors were wonderful. Added cornstarch at the end to thicken up the "gravy". Served over rice. Yummy!"

Sauce was delish BEFORE I added the eggs and baked it... creamy and tasty. Baking it with eggs made it grainy. Consistency was awful. Followed the recipe exactly, except I baked it in the oven for an hour. We couldn't eat it and had to throw it all away :(. "

Overall, it was yummy. Would make one change-- I like my cobbler filling to have more liquid, so I will be adding more milk next time; it seemed like the biscuit mix absorbed all of it. Very good, though!"
