My Activity

Reviewed Cinnamon Stars: Zimtsterne (Germany

"Love this cookie! The cinnaomon and almond is a great combination.
I agree with all the other reviewers, it is labor intensive, but worth it. After reading the reviews, I did 2 things- 1. used more almonds in the batter than suggested (about another ounce ground) and 2. chilled the dough after rolling, but before cutting it out. I used more"

Reviewed Bubba's Corn Muffins

"Great corn bread recipe- not sweet! This is the way I like corn bread, moist and not sweet. It really complements the main dish you serve with it. My husband is from the south, and he won't eat corn bread with sugar in it - he say's that the way it's made in the north! Reviewed Orange Sherbet

"Delicious!
I have made this twice now. First time as Alton Brown suggests and the 2nd with mangos, as my grocery store had them on sale. Needed to tweak the sweetening a bit for the mangos, but both were great. I'm going to experiment with other fruits now - easy recipe. "

"Quick, easy and delicious. Saltiness will depend on the brand of miso you have, so if too salty add more honey. I've made this a couple of times now, and also added ginger and a little chili oil too. Always a hit, and easy weeknight meal."

Reviewed Lemon Curd

"Delicious and easy.
Yes, you need to pay attention to the actual amount of lemon juice- 1/3 cup - not the number of lemons. Do this and it will be the perfect sweet/tart flavor and firm pudding consistency!
Used it to fill cupcakes. After making the lemon cupcakes (used 1/2 of Ina Gareten's lemon loaf cake recipe), I cut out part of the top"

Reviewed Tailgating Asian Wings

"Loved these, and easy too! Followed recipe exactly for 1/2. Since I have a few folks who don't like it really spicy, the other half I omitted the chili paste and added a few drops of sesame chili oil and some fresh chopped cilantro. Yummy!"

Reviewed Gruyere and Spinach Bakes

"Great recipe - baked them in muffin tins to make a bit smaller. Worked great. Will make them again. "

Reviewed Orzo with Artichoke Pesto and Grilled Corn

"Great flavor in the pesto! I made the orzo and pesto, then added the veggies. Had some leftover zucchini and grilled red peppers, chopped them and tossed it in. Yummy! It will be my go-to recipe for leftover veggies or pasta. Maybe leftover chicken too??? Very versatile recipe."
