Reviewed Chocolate Peppermint Pinwheel Cookies

"I'm a very experience baker and I have no idea why this was so challenging. I followed the instructions to a "T" and I don't like writing negative things on here, especially about AB. I DVR all his shows! The dough was incredibly sticky for me, I can't believe hearing others talking about it cracking when rolled. I DID use parchment paper, I will admit-- I keep that on hand instead of wax paper. I can understand that being important after doing this, but with the obscene amounts of powdered sugar I used, I hoped it wouldn't stick. I resisted the urged to toss the dough after it stuck to the paper, and worked and worked to make the roll part. I actually FROZE the cookie roll rather than refrigerated it, to firm it even more. I was able to get some pretty looking cookies, but the taste was just okay.
Will not attempt again unless I figure out why my dough was so sticky!!
