"I was a little bit disappointed in this recipe, because the cake was a little thick and dense; it did have good flavor though. As for the filling, I guess I was expecting a better tasting filling, more like a frosting, not a custurd. I just barely had enough filling for six pies. Not sure I will make these again."

"I made this recipe for my husband's office and everyone LOVED it!. It was tender and moist.
I used canned corn instead of fresh, which may have made the difference in the baking time. I had to bake it for 55 minutes instead of the 35 minutes in the recipe. I will also add a little bit more cayanne pepper next time to give it a little more kick, b""
