My Activity

Reviewed Oven Roasted Turkey with Sage Butter

"I made my first turkey 4 years ago, the first time my husband and I were away from our families. It was a great success. I've since added my own touch to it. Along with sage, I add thyme and rosemary. I stuff the cavity with lemon, garic cloves, onions and a bunch of the same herbs tied together. I baste the turkey every hour, covering with foil as needed. Once it cools, I slice it and place all the meat into a crock pot. Pour some drippings over the meat, take it to work, set it to warm. Everyone around the hospital usually comes to my dept to get my "infamous" turkey. Meat stays very moist and flavorful. This recipe works for any size, I've used it on 15lbs and 25lbs.
