"this was my first time trying to make this type of cake and i followed every instruction. it just seems to me like there is too much applesauce. i baked the cake for 55 minutes and it was still too moist in the middle while getting crispy on the outside. my bf, who has family that make their own applesauce cake, says the taste is right but the consistency is wrong...he doesn't really mind though, he says it's kind of like jell-o, haha.
