Reviewed Gingered Pear Preserves

Oct 9, 2013 on

I've made this recipe a couple times now and it's a crowd pleaser. For me, the recipe tasted perfect as written so I'm not making any modifications. I cooked the preserves until they reached 220 degrees and yielded 5 cups.

What an easy and delicious dessert! I followed the suggestions of some reviewers and used 1/3 cup flour, 1/4 tsp baking powder, and melted butter instead of the oil. I divided the batter between 2 small coffee/tea cups and microwaved for about a minute. Topping with sweetened raspberries really set it off. I'll be making this again with chocolate...

This resulted in the loaf holdi...

Reviewed Plain Brown Popper

Apr 29, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on

This recipe is sooo easy. I used the staples and had no problem with my microwave. However, next time I'll take the advice of another reviewer and mix the kernels, oil, and seasonings before I put them in the bag so that the salt sticks to the popcorn better. Yes, there were unpopped kernels but no more than in my air popper. "

Reviewed Fig-and-Walnut Energy Bars

Dec 15, 2010 in Food Network Community Toolbox on

These bars are pretty tasty and nutritious so I will be making them again. I plan to add the walnuts after processing so the bars are a little crunchier. I'd also like to add some dried cranberries to punch up the flavor a bit.

Reviewed Gingerbread Boys with a Bite

This is the best gingerbread cookie recipe I've tried. My daughter and I look forward to making them every year! We even use this recipe to bake a gingerbread house.
