"Fitmom - Yes, you can freeze it. I make a large batch and freeze half every time.

I've made this recipe several times and actually dream of it! I can't stand canned tomato soup. This is my favorite soup recipe and I could eat it every night for dinner. The only substitution I've made is I flash cook the tomatoes in hot water for 1 minute first so I can remove the peel. As others mentioned, the peel will remain in small bits so it's not as smooth.
