This recipe was OK. I like the method of mixing the shredded carrot with the flour but I agree that the flavor (spices) needed to be kicked up a notch and the cake turned out really dense. The frosting was excellent though. I added a tablespoon of orange juice and about 2 tablespoons of spiced rum and omitted the vanilla. The frosting was flavorful...

Reviewed Hot Spinach and Artichoke Dip

Instead of boiling the spinach and artichokes I sauted them in olive oil and 2 cloves of chopped fresh garlic. I used canned artichokes and did a rough chop to make them a little easier to scoop with a ptia chip/baguette/etc. I followed the rest of the recipe and it was perfect.YUM!
