Really good as is. It was a hit at my book club but when I make it again I would use all black beans, add a couple of cloves of garlic, more cayenne or hot sauce and more onions. I have to say up front that I don't measure things, especially spice and I don't pay much attention to saut���ing time. That being said the only ingredient I changed was using apple smoked gruyere. I'm glad I did because this would have been pretty bland without it. I also used leftover garlic herb butter for regular butter and that was a good addition....
