"This is a great recipe. I substituted Lawry's Baja chipotle for the Mexican chile and lime marinade and added about 3 table spoons instead of the entire 8 oz container of sour cream (We like things a little spicy). Reviewed Brunch in a Cast Iron Skillet: Oysters, Tasso, Bacon and Grits

"This was a good meal. You can use a dutch oven instead of the cast iron skillet. For anyone who doesn't want to pay a ton of money for the oysters, I think you can halve what the recipe calls for. I used chorizo in the place of the tasso and it worked out great. Everything else in the recipe is easily accessible from any grocery store. "
