Reviewed Chicken Macarthur, Another Version

"I made this pretty much as described. It was easy to make. I did watch the tv show, Diners and Drive Ins and so I had some of it in my memory. I used marinated artichokes in a jar and didn't measure the wine. All my family ate it up which is very unusual! I will definately make this again. It might go well with tofu."

Reviewed Chicken and Broccoli Stir-fry

"Glad I stumbled acorss this recipe. Easy and much better than any bland chicken and broccoli's I have made in the past! I basically followed the recipe but didn't have Hoisin sauce so as one reviewed suggested, I used plum sauce. It was very good. Next time I will try with hoisin sauce. EZ too.""

Reviewed Broccoli and Cheese Soup with Croutons

"A good soup. Mine was a bit salty, maybe from the wrong cheese. I used sharp cheddar. Also, I used a combo of fresh and frozen broccoli and it worked fine. I also used milk and 1/2 and 1/2. Overall, I think it is a good place to begin. ""

Reviewed Chipotle Orange Glazed Pork Chops

"I am giving this recipe a '5' although I tweeked it quite a bit. After reading other reviews, I added some of the seasonings already mentioned. (garlic, paprika, cumin, salt, pepper) I did not have OJ so I substituted orange zest. I also substitued honey. I cooked 4 minutes on each side and it turned out really good.

About Me

I have 2 teen age kids and work full time so although I wish I were a good cook and I love to try recipes, I just don't have enough time to really become a 'good cook'. I especially love the reviews that tell me what to change or substitute as I am often cooking on the fly and have to use what is already in the house!
