Reviewed chicken pot pie

Apr 27, 2014 on FoodNetwork.com

This is really tasty - the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because the sauce wasn't as think as I would like - could be due to the flour I used. It had a GREAT flavor though - I added the mushrooms as others suggested. I think I would add some potatoes next time as well. Will make again!

This recipe is delicious and easy. It has such a fresh taste. I made it as a side for a pasta party and it got rave reviews. Will definitely make it again. I didn't make any adjustments to the recipe and it was great!

Really easy - and once I mastered the texture (I undercooked once then overcooked the second time - but the third and every time after was a charm) - they are to die for. I take make them whenever I make guacamole for a party and they are always a hit!

Reviewed chicken cacciatore

Apr 13, 2014 on FoodNetwork.com

This recipe wasn't bad, but I have had much better chicken cacciatore. I found the sauce was not super flavorful - it wasn't bad, just wasn't great either. I found it a bit runny, so added tomato paste as other reviewers suggested, which helped.

Reviewed carne asada tacos with green salsa

Apr 6, 2014 on FoodNetwork.com

This was delicious - I followed recommendations to cut the meat up into chunks - and to sear before. I also used beef broth instead of veggie. I halved the recipe - but still used the full two cups of broth and could have used more. The meat shred like butter after only 2 hours of cooking. I had two people stop by the day I was cooking this and...

This was alright - I didn't love it and I do typically love cabbage. I guess I like it braised with stock better.

This wasn't bad - I'm not the biggest ham fan. I couldn't get the sauce to become syrupy.

Reviewed beef stew

Feb 23, 2014 on FoodNetwork.com

I typically don't like stew -but I had meat and veggies from a CSA, so tried this out - and it was FANTASTIC!!! I would definitely make it again. I deglazed with red wine before putting it in the oven and used beef stock. Other than that, I basically followed the recipe.

Delicious! I don't like coffee or bourbon (I substituted Dewars because that is what I had) - but used them both and it came out delicious - all the flavors just come together. I am not a big pork fan, but this is a great recipe for it!!!

Reviewed Kielbasa in Polish Sauce

Nov 3, 2013 on FoodNetwork.com

I love this - but I used fresh Kielbasa from my meat share, and had to cook the meat for almost 50 minutes instead of 25 - but the whole meal was delicious. I served it over egg noodles. Yum!

Reviewed Crispy Baked Chicken Leg Quarters (Very Easy, One Dish)

Jun 25, 2013 in on Food.com

I am not a huge fan of dark chicken meat - but had leg quarters in a meat CSA- this was absolutely fabulous!!! I don';t eat the skin either - but the meat was to die for - trying not to over eat - but this recipe makes it hard. I followed as directed. I thought it would be too salty - I am not a huge salt person, but it was perfect (I used...

Reviewed New Mexican-Style Soft Tacos with Hacked Chicken and Salsa Verde

Apr 2, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

The salsa verde was incredible! I couldn't find the chilis either, so used chipotle. Just personally, I wouldn't use chipolte chilis again as I don't like smoked flavor. The chicken came out great, but I couldn't reuse the sauce as others said b/c it was very smokely tasting. I will definitely make the salsa verde again and would try the chicken...

The meatballs were to die for (I used ground pork and ground beef), but the sauce was little too strong with the wine taste for me. I would recommend reducing the amount of wine. This will be my go to recipe for meatballs, but will change up the sauce in the future."

The pork was fantastic - and I don't even love pork. I didn't make the polenta, but think I will next time. I had friends over when I cooked this and everyone loved it - the sauce is fantastic on mashed potatoes, I couldn't get enough! Will definitely make this anytime I have ribs again."

My first time making wings - this was easy to follow and the crowd said they were nice and crispy - and the recipe was a keeper! I used frank's as well for the hot sauce and it worked great. I had smaller wings, so cut the cook time by 3-5 minutes on each side."
