Reviewed Summer Chicken Salad

Jul 14, 2013 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

This was a very good chicken salad. I cut the chicken to two breasts. I wanted to make sure I liked the combination before I made too much. I think this is a great summer salad. I am unsure of the blueberries....I think it may be better with grapes. Unless it's my blueberries...I think the grapes would be sweeter. It seems to be missing a to"

Let me start by saying I watch every show of Ree's and truly love it. I have made several of her dishes and have had great success. However this is just not one of them. This is very labor intensive and many pans to wash after. However it would have been worth it had the taste been there. The dish did not come together for me in flavor...ever"

I halfed the recipe and it still made a lot!!! Used a 14oz chopped tomatoes and one can of rotel with two cups of rice and one quart of chicken broth. The rice was delicious and very easy to make. We will definitely be making this again. "

Just wasn't our cup of tea. The chicken had good flavor...just not something I would make again. The yogurt topping was just ok. Love Tyler...just not this time. "

I made this for my boyfriend's birthday party. WOW is this pepper salad great!!!! It's a must try. I even cheated using jarred fire roasted red and yellow peppers and it was still wonderful. I served this with a platter of meats, cheeses, and olives with tiny baquette bread. Super simple and very impressive. "

This casserole is delicious. I made it with baby swiss instead of guyuere. I also added a touch of cayenne pepper to the white sauce. There are two things that I will change next time. I may try to bake the eggs on top of the casserole instead of frying them...the timing of frying the eggs and getting them on the casserole takes practice. Also...

This was absolutely delicious!!!! You do need a lot of greens, which I only had one bunch of Kale....so next time I will use two big bunches. Even my boyfriend thought it was great. I sauteed about 4 oz of pancetta before adding the onions and garlic and added a splash of balsamic vinegar at the end for sweetness. I served this with Manicotta...

This salad just didn't do it for our family. I think the dressing was a miss...it tasted like olive oil-mayo...and the salad needed a true vingarette. I love most of what Ina makes so this was just a miss cue for us.

Ina usually hits it out of the park....but not this time. Unless I really messed the recipe up...these were not a hit for our house. It was a lot of money for the shallots for a result that was not that great.

I made this slaw for a pork carnita recipe I pulled from American's Test Kitchen. The pork was labor intensive but very good. I don't think the dish would have been as successful without Sandra's slaw. This slaw made the Tacos!!! I plan to try the pork in this recipe next time.
