This is the first time I've made peanut brittle in years. Trish's recipe was easy to understand and turned out great. I always get impatient when I don't know how long something will take. I found that getting the mixture to 240 degrees after it started to boil took about 10 minutes; and to get the mixture up to 300 degrees after adding the peanut"

I'm always looking for good and easy recipes. I too used an oval crockpot and the mixture was done even before 2 1/2 hours.
