My Activity

Reviewed Almond Snowball Cookies

"Was quite excited to try this recipe as it will be part of my x-mas cookie distribution. Firstly, I just moved abroad, therefore, not having all the proper US measuring utensils and having to convert the ingredients to the metric system was intimidating. However, after having done my conversions and measuring out the ingredients (not having almonds I substituted hazelnuts instead) I found my batter came out quite DRY. Almost threw the whole thing out and after reading a review about not adding extra butter.....I did just the opposite and decided to soften some more butter and add it so to make it more moist and crumbly (enough to squeeze my hand and make a ball that holds together. Decided then to just go for it and bake. Held my breath......but miraculously, the cookies turned out very delicious! I used a vanilla infused powder suger and that really added to the flavor. Will definitely make this again!!

BTW, do want to thank the TeamChipman reviewer for the good tip! :-)
