Reviewed Jamie's Coconut Cake
" I used a Betty Crocker Supermoist French Vanilla boxed cake mix, and Betty Crocker 7-Minute frosting from a box. I ALWAYS like to make things from scratch...but due to a time crunch, I had to whip something up quickly.
With that in mind, the cake I made turned out beautiful, moist and delicious.
The sour cream flavor of the filling was nice because there is a lot of "sweet" with that 7-minute frosting. A butter or yellow cake definitely helps offset the sweet, so I wouldn't recommend using a white cake or angel food type mix, if you DO go with the boxed mix emergency plan.
