Had this tonight. It's a great dish! I didn't have proscuitto so used pancetta which I saut���ed briefly. Since other reviewers though it was salty - after the brining (5 hours) I rinsed under cold water and patted dry. The chops were tender and juicy and the sauce was velvety and delicious. My husband raved about it!

This is a great recipe. After the chicken is browned I add a minced shallot and 2 Tbsp. minced fresh sage to the pan along with the mushrooms. Perfect company dish. Fast, easy and relatively inexpensive to prepare."

Delicious result but lots of time to prepare. At least 1:15 min. before it goes into the oven. Filling leaks out a bit but just makes the sauce that much better. I would recommend using your food processor to chop all those onions, slice the mushrooms, mince garlic and grate the cheeses. It will save you lots of time. I also gave the tomato"
