I have made this twice now and we absolutely love it. I too used the 190% Everclear so it is very strong. I think it is kind of syrupy and thick. Did anyone else's turn out like this. I think maybe I heated the water up too much. Any thoughts?""

These are amazing! I only used 1/2 of the simple syrup as per the suggestions here. I also only used 1/2 the mint. They turned out a little slushy but I think using only 1/2 the syrup is why. Next time I will not add the ice to the blender and just add it to the glasses. Great recipe, very refreshing!"

These were very good. I used the amount called for jam but mine did leak. I think next time I will use less jam and add a little sugar to the dough. The pastry is flaky and really good.
