"Ok I've written this a few times - I hope only once appears and you guys aren't bombarded by multiple reviews from me. After reading the reviews I tried the cookies BOTH ways. 1. adding the jam at the beginning (after chilling dough for about 30min) and 2. baking halfway, using 1/4 tsp to make the 'thumbprint' adding the jam and baking the rest ""

"Just realised my review wasn't very clear, but I can't find a way to edit.. so I did BOTH ways. Jam in at the beginning AND baked another batch by baking halfway then using 1/4tsp to put dents in the cookies, adding the jam, and then baking the rest of the way. "So after reading the reviews I tried it by putting the jam in at the beginning (after chilling dough for about 30 minutes) and taking them out halfway to add the jam. I have to say there was no difference in the way my cookies looked and I can't tell them apart now that they're all mixed together. It is easier to put the jam in at the beginning ""
