My Activity

Reviewed Throwdown's German Chocolate Cake with Coconut-Pecan-Cajeta Frosting, Chocolate Ganache and Coconut Whipped Cream

"This was my first time baking a cake from scratch, though I have done a fair amount of baking. The recipe is time consuming, expensive, messy, and absolutely AMAZING! I made this for my family's Christmas dinner instead of our usual pies. They loved it, and all commented that it was restaurant quality! When making the caramel for the frosting make sure to let it cook down until it becomes thick. Not a cake to make every day, but worth the effort for special occasions!
