Reviewed Dry-Aged Standing Rib Roast with Sage Jus
"Incredible! My rating is less about the recipe and more about the process. I used a standard roasting pan, my own rub, and my own jus recipe but this cooking method is five star. This method differs from every other rib roast and leave it to AB to ignore the status-quot. Starting with a low temperature and ending high is the best way to go and his"
Reviewed Yeast Doughnuts
"I'm giving this four stars because the recipe required quite a bit more flour than was indicated but the doughnuts turned out incredible. This was my first time making doughnuts and probably the last (kind of a hassle and I don't crave doughnuts often) but the work is definitely worthwhile at least once!"
Reviewed Cocoa Syrup
"I'll never buy store bought syrup again. Be careful to fully dissolve the sugar or else it will turn out grainy but the flavor is wonderful and you can use as high quality cocoa as you want!"
Reviewed Pressure Cooker Chili
"If the recipe is followed to the letter, this is HOT (not that I will complain...loved it). This is far more than simply browning hamburger and tossing in chili beans and tomatoes. This is a braised beef dish that takes you back to what chilli really was in the old days. Highly recommended. "
Reviewed Chicken Fried Steak
"This is a very easy recipe which is fun to make to boot. I was too cheap to buy a $45 meat tenderizer so I bought the cheap "minute steaks" from the mega-mart and it still turned out excellent. Being from the west coast I've never been a chicken fried steak fan but my wife is all Midwestern and lit up when she saw this. It turned out so well I'm h"
Reviewed Fried Chicken
"Flavor was amazing but as others have pointed out, the chicken nearly burned on the bottom. I fully understand pan frying leads to dark brown skin but after following the temperature and cooking time recommendations, this was toast. Beneath the skin chicken was perfect though!"
Reviewed Coconut Shrimp with Peanut Sauce
"I'm not a huge shrimp fan but love coconut and so I was excited when it turned out so well. The flavor is amazing and the peanut sauce really does make it so don't skip it! The shrimp turned out a little greasy but that was probably due to my poor temperature control on the oil. Highly recommended!"
