Reviewed Sweet Potato Casserole
"This is the best sweet potato recipe! I did substitute the walnuts with pecans, since my family isn't a fan. My son, who always wants marshmellows, LOVED it! No one noticed the apricots or the orange...only that it was an amazing dish. Thanks, Ann!
"AMAZING! This was a hit at my house! I didn't have caul fat but used plenty of string and it turned out perfect! I took the breast off of the bone, which was attatched to the back...so I made my own turkey stock with the bones and meat from the back. The gravy was so YUMMY! I nixed the Parm, since my husband didn't like it and made my own bread crumbs from toasted Ezekial Seseme bread. I, also, used a semi-dry Missouri wine. I think, this will be a traditional dish at my house. Thanks, Anne!
"This was AMAZING! I used pure honey in place of the sugar and had to make my own puree' from whole chestnuts. From reading the previous reviews; I picked up a "Family Size" Sara Lee pound cake and I had plenty for the layers. I had orange/chocolate liqueur on hand and used it. Everyone loved it!
