Reviewed Ravioli with Balsamic Brown Butter

Feb 15, 2012 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

This recipe is great! It turned out really tasty and flavorful and rich. NOt sure if this happened for others, but when I poured in the balsamic (off the heat), it started sizzling and spitting and grease went everywhere, so watch out for that. Over all, great simple recipe and very easy to follow.""

Love love love this recipe! It made my house smell so good! I couldn't get enough and I can't wait to make it again. The only thing I did differently was use no-cook pasta noodles instead of fresh, so the noodles definitely were undercooked and a little chewy. Next time I'll either make my own or add some cooking time to make sure the noodles...

Reviewed Pasta alla Formiana

Jan 2, 2012 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

This dish is both tasty and innovative and it was really interesting to me that the pasta cooked in the oven instead of in a pot of boiling water. I just think that is so neat! Anyways, the pasta turned out really well and the whole dish was delicious. My boyfriend thought it was too "tomato-y", so maybe if I made it again I would add some basi...

This dish paired great with a cheese spread and crackers. I used pecans instead of walnuts b/c that's what I had in the house and it was really good. This is definitely going to be a staple for my cheese platters from now on. ""

Tasty? What did you think?I didn't have an ice cream scoop when I made the cookies so I eyeballed it and my cookies turn out pretty big! That made the samis pretty big, so they were kind of overwhelming to eat all in one sitting. So be careful with the cookie size! We had to cut them in quarters of halves b/c they were too rich to eat the whol...

This dish was fantastic! My boyfriend had like four servings! haha I switched it up a little and added some white cheddar cheese and a little smoked paprika, and that worked really well. The rest of the flavors were so rich and delicious. I can't wait to make this again!""

Jan 2, 2012 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

This dish is great: healthy, light, and super flavorful. I was really surprised at the amount of flavor this dish had and was pleasantly surprised. It seems like a lot of herbs and a lot of scallion (onion flavor), but it all works in the end. I can't wait to work this into my new year's diet and make it a regular on my plate!""

This recipe was so tasty and hearty. I cut the recipe in half, but I felt like that didn't really give me enough sauce. I think if I dide that again, I would go ahead and make the full recipe sauce and just use what I need and toss the rest if it's too much. I couldn't find parsnips so I used a rutabega, which was actually pretty good. I thou...

Reviewed Pan Roasted Pork Chops

Jan 1, 2012 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

I made these pork chops for New Years day (with sauerkraut of course), and my mom and boyfriend loved them! They raved about the seasoning and the crust on the outside, and how moist they turned out. I had to cook them a little longer than ten minutes in the oven b/c the chops I got were so thick, so keep that in mind if you have an especially ...

Great recipe, very tasty! I had to leave the cheese out b/c the person I was cooking it for doesn't like cheese, and it was still really good. It was my first frittata and I found this recipe very easy to follow and it turned out great! Thanks Rachael!""

Reviewed Red Wine Rice with Grapes

Nov 17, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

This dish was definitely interesting and different. First of all, the wine cooking with the rice smelled amazing while it was cooking on the stove. I think it could've used a toasted nut for some crunch - like some toasted almonds or something, and maybe some chopped parsley. I really liked the grapes - it was just something totally different....

Nov 17, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

One word: amazing. I made this dish as the main course for a week night dinner for my boyfriend and myself and just paired it with some broccoli and it was plenty! It was sooo tasty! I don't cook with tarragon often, or mascapone, so it was nice to have a recipe where both are utilized so beautifully. And the arugula added such a nice spicine...

This was so tasty! I had seconds and the only reason I didn't have thirds was because I was way too full! I altered the recipe a little to accomodate what I had around the house: I used vegetable stock instead of chicken stock and went about a half a cup shy on that and used about a half a cup of white wine to fill in. I used sriracha as the h...
