Reviewed Smashed Potato Gratin

"Just prepped mine for my Christmas Eve party. To Kentuckyblueone, it fit nicely in a glass Pyrex 3 qt rectangular baking dish (or what we used to call yer basic 16x9 pan, about 2" deep) with plenty of room left to add the topping before baking.

I added some smoked paprika, used buttermilk instead of milk, used 2 cups of sour cream instead of one, and 2 cups of cheddar - about 1/2 cup of which I reserved to place a thin layer across the top of the potatoes to bind the bread and parmesan topping to the potatoes.

I can't wait to taste it. As a vegetarian, I'm serving the "BIG MEAT" to my boys, and a double helping of potatoes for myself!
