About Me
I'm a 62 year old♥ southern cook♥. I've been in the kitchen since I was about 6-7 years lod. My grandmother taught me a lot about southern cooking, as did my Mom and Dad.
I also like to experimint with my recipes and do a lot of fusion cooking. I love using fresh herbs and loads of spices. My husband likes to get into the kitchen with me and sometimes we really put together a get dish and we aren't even sure what we did.
But when it comes down to it. I love my southern roots and my comfort foods are pure southern.!♥
I like looking over the recipes here and getting some great Ideas. I guess my 2 favorite personalities are Paula Deen and Gina and Pat Neely. Okay so that's 3 people, but I'm counting the Neely's as 1 couple and not 2 separte people.
I have to have my comfort meals every so often. I can't pick a favorite because I love them all. I fix Chicken and dressing with gravy and I have to have cranberyy sauce with it and a great side. I also love chicken and dumplings with a pone of cornbread. And a big glass of iced tea.♦♦♦
I could go on and on about my favorite Soutnern dishes and not be able to run out. I love food and I try new things all the time, but I always come back to my Southern Roots.
