Reviewed Lemon-Garlic Shrimp and Grits

Sep 9, 2013 in Food Network Community Toolbox on

Very tasty! I used the instant grits as the recipe calls for, but I think next time I will use the old-fashioned grits as suggested by many reviewers. A "pinch" of cayenne was not enough heat for me, so I added a couple extra pinches. I think the bit of heat worked very well with the lemon-y shrimp and the buttery grits. Will be making this again "

This is one of my favorite Giada recipes because it is simple, cheap, and absolutely scrumptious! The only thing I do differently is I only use 1/2 cup of chicken stock, and I substitute the other half of the liquid with white wine to give it a more sophisticated flavor. I serve it over angel hair pasta. This dish is always a hit."

Oh Porky Goodness! I have these Carnitas cooking away in my slow cooker right now, and they still have a little while to go but I CAN'T STOP going in for a little taste again and again. Absolutely terrific recipe!"

Made this dish tonight, thought it was pretty good. I will put in half the amount of curry powder next time because it was a bit too strong."
