I needed a quick dessert for New Years. I had all the ingredients. This cake is definitely easy. But I have to agree that this is not the most chocolaty cake, however very moist. Although everyone seemed to enjoy & my family loved it the next day, I would not make it again.

We really liked this soup. However if I make it again I would not use the sweet potato. I would try carrots instead. I also used regular white button mushrooms as shitakes are pricey. I liked the flavor very much. I found that there wasn't enough broth so I think I would add some water.

Since this dough recipe is similar to rugglach (see Ina Garten) dough but with a little sugar I used what I had as I made some a few weeks ago. What a hit. My family loved them. What a great idea. Many reviewers said the dough lacked flavor. Just add 1/4 cup of sugar. I will def. make this again. I love to watch a show and get great ideas with ingredients...
