I made this for the first time this year. I must say, it was delicious! I will have to figure out why my gravy was too salty. Perhaps I did not rinse the bird enough after the brine process? Many compliments were given. Making this our family holiday turkey recipe to enjoy for years.

I increased the spices a tad, also used fresh nutmeg and a pinch of cardamom. Turned out great. Next time may use larger pan. The smell of this when it came out won my heart!

I felt with Ina's recipe you could not go wrong. Wow...I truely wished I would have tested it before Thanksgiving! It was way too salty of gravy for me. I was able to add more wine to it to counter the saltiness. Next time I shall test run the recipe. I would have omitted the salt altogether as chicken stock has plenty of salt and pan drippin"

I have to agree with Moses...this totally missed the mark. I had my heart set on this recipe because of all the good rave reviews.
