"As others suggested, a few minor revisions had to be made. Anticipating the sauce would be runny, as-written, these were my changes and it turned out perfectly!
1.5 Cups of water (instead of 3
2 Tablespoons of cornstarch dissolved in 4 Tablespoons of cold water. Add to the sauce during the last 15 minutes of simmering.

"I love Paula Dean, but this recipe did not turn out as I'd hoped. It was so bland! I followed the recipe exactly as written, but the end result was no good. I was so disappointed and it was a complete waste of ingredients. Still love ya, though, Paula!
