My Activity

Reviewed Slow-Cooker Pork With Noodles

"Definitely not enough broth with this recipe, which was the best part - I'd probably double the broth, as CeCeHorseLuvr said below. I used the wrong type of noodles and they were too mushy, so I'll make sure to find the rice noodles next time. All in all an excellent, flavorful recipe. ""

Reviewed Mini Strawberry Mascarpone Tarts

"Very good. I put them into filo shells instead of making the dough - it shortened the prep time a lot! (They also looked pretty cute like that.) :)""

Reviewed Chicken Piccata

"So so good! That sauce has such a great zing to it, and it was very simple. If you can't get some scaloppini, bang out some chicken breasts and then cook as directed. It was definitely a pleaser, and impressed my boyfriend!""

Reviewed Sweet and Sour Pork

"I made it in a wok, and would recommend eating it with brown rice. Delicious! The pork was a little tough, but that was probably my fault!""

Reviewed Aromatic Noodles With Lime Peanut Sauce

"I'd recommend making it ahead of time - let the sauce sink in. Just like old Pad Thai tastes better the next day! I caught my boyfriend eating it cold out of the fridge.""

Reviewed Peach Cobbler

"Oh Paula! Why do you do this to me? The peaches I found were tart but sweet - I had some issues with the crust being cooked, but realized that my new oven cooks a little unevenly. I made sure to rotate quite a bit. YUM though. ""

About Me

My boyfriend and I are trying to stay on a tight budget. We live about 15 mins. from NYC, and saving now means we can enjoy a few really swanky evenings!

We want to plan ahead with our menus for the week and have some options for when our plans don't exactly pan out.

Favorite Foods

I like making something creative from whatever happens to be in my pantry. My favorite foods are things I don't get to eat a lot: steamed artichoke, sweetbreads, baked brie, and any French cuisine.
