Reviewed Buttermilk Ranch Dressing with Bibb Lettuce
"Delicious! I did cut the amount of kosher salt in half and it was, for me, the perfect amount. Any more and it would have been too salty. This is definitely a keeper recipe. "
Reviewed Winter Minestrone and Garlic Bruschetta
"This is delicious soup. It's time consuming to make, but well worth the effort and I like that you can make part of it one day and finish it the next. The only thing I would do differently is to cut down on the pasta. I think one cup of pasta would be plenty. The bruschetta puts it over the top! "
Reviewed Brussels Sprouts with Balsamic and Cranberries
"I was disappointed. The glaze was so sweet that the flavor of the brussels sprouts was lost. I also felt that they did not go well with the savory flavors of the meat and whiskey sauce. "
Reviewed Perfect Pot Roast
"This pot roast is very good and I really like the addition of the fresh rosemary and thyme. They bring another level of flavor to the finished roast. The only thing I'll do different next time is add more salt along the way. It definitely needed it. ""
Reviewed Turkey Burger
"My husband and I love these burgers. They are light and flavorful and I know I'll be making them often. I made these for the seoond time last night and left the water completely out. They were still very moist and delicious. They are a little bit hard to turn over in the pan because they want to fall apart. But I just take my spatula and resh""
Reviewed Parker's Beef Stew
"This stew was ok, but I'm not sure I would make it again. The wine flavor was a somewhat overpowering and I only marinated the beef for about 7 hours - not overnight. When I make stew, I want the good old fashioned kind and I don't think this is it. If I want to put wine in a "stew" Ina's Beef Bourgignon recipe using chuck roast meat is far better than this.
Reviewed Saffron Risotto with Butternut Squash
"This risotto is wonderful! I had put off making this recipe for a long time, but I have a friend who makes it often, especially when she's in the mood for comfort food. This is definitely satisfying and delicious. It takes a bit of time to make, but is so worth it. Lovely dish. Thanks Ina.
