Reviewed Whole-Wheat Linguine with Green Beans, Ricotta, and Lemon

Aug 1, 2012 in Food Network Community Toolbox on

I was a dissapointed by this recipe. I LOVE Giada and watched her make this recipe on her show and it looked really good. My husband wouldn't even eat it. I think it's the ricotta that made it pretty bland. I won't be making this one again."

Reviewed Spaghetti Squash With Sausage

Really good and healthy. I did not microwave but baked at 375 for 45 mins. I tried this recipe once with the links on the side and didn't really care for it so this last time I cut open the links and broke it up like ground sausage. I liked it much better this way. I also used lean sausage because regular sausage is just too greasy. ""

Reviewed Baked Acorn Squash Filled with Italian Sausage and Rigatoni Pasta

Nov 30, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on

I had one acorn squash that I didn't know what to do with and this was a perfect recipe. I had the other ingredients on hand. I used leftover ground turkey and meatballs cut up instead of the sausage because that's what I had, corkscrew noodles and ragu from a jar. It still came out tasty and my husband really liked it. I did scrape the acorn...

My husband always requests these. Except I don't always have fancy bread around so I make them like grilled cheese. I use regular sandwhich bread, butter one side and grill it in a skillet. They still taste really good this way but I'm sure even better when you have the right bread.""

This recipe was fantastic! If you're looking for a low-cal dish that doesn't taste low-cal then whip this up tonight! I was pleasantly surprise by how delicious and creamy it was. I added left over chicken and sundried tomatoes but I will add sauteed peppers next time. If your sauce does not thicken after adding the milk, don't worry because ...

Not a whole lot of flavor besides the mayo/sour cream. Just didn't like it."

My family really liked this recipe. My 7 yr old stepdaughter helped with coating the chicken so she thought this was a fun recipe. My tweaks for what I had on hand were: minced garlic from a jar, dried basil, and fired roasted diced tomatoes. I think it still came out great! My stepdaughter doesn't like red sauce so she picked it off but still...

I wish I could give this more than 5 stars. Best asparagus I've ever had! The nutmeg and lemon really amped up the flavor. I used ground nutmeg and concentrated lemon juice and I still thought it was yum. I'm going to use this recipe when I roast broccoli next time. Great hit with the fam!

Reviewed Linguine with Tuna Puttanesca

Feb 8, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on

This is such a fun and easy recipe. I like it better than just spaghetti sauce. I didn't have canned plum tomatoes so I used canned diced tomatoes and I still loved it! I've also added a small can of tomato sauce to thicken the sauce. I also used queen green olives. Great recipe! My favorite to make.
