I'm hispantic and thought the receipt was not what I grew up eating. I dont think black beans fit well with eggs. Must use and more creamy texture as refried beans (homemade. I also prefer my own salsa. That really gives this dish more flavor for a authenic taste. I also use cilantro a more flavor in this toastada. I perfer to fry or bake my corn "

This recipe needed to be doubled. Save the egg white, add a tab. of powder sugar and 1/2 tea of cream of tarter and whip until you reach a peak. When pie is cooled spread white on top and brown in broiler. Watching carefully not to burn and then place in a frozen freezer. The marange taste good. The whole pie taste good."
