This is a wonderful recipe - made it for Thanksgiving (yesterday.) I very carefully worked my fingers under the entire turkey breast and massaged Ina's mixture onto the breast. I also spooned extra butter mixture around the drumsticks, thighs, salted & peppered whole thing. I trussed the legs and wings and cooked the turkey breast down for...

Nurse Betty - Don't be frustrated. It's the same recipe, except that in the video, Ina lifts the turkey's breast skin and works the soft butter-thyme-lemon mixture under the skin. I followed this method, as well as rubbing the mixture all over the turkey's body (per Ina's written recipe.)

Fabulous ... and simple! I bought too many walnuts at Trader Joe's and this recipe was perfect. I added a little honey to the vinaigrette. The whole thing was fresh, crunchy, sweet, tart, salty, spicy ... what a combo! Try it.

Whomever complains about this recipe is probably not following Anne's very explicit instructions re: salting, browning (to death!) and patiently adding water as ragu reduces. It really is an almost all day project, but it is worth it. Add an extra little bunch of thyme and more bay leaves toward the end. Lovely, lovely sauce! Make sure to foll"

OMG. Tried it once with regular coconut milk ... a little too rich. Second time I sauteed the shallots, added the Thai curry paste (plus a couple of extra spoons) and a few shakes of cayenne chili powder and used the whole can of lite coconut cream and 1 1/2 cups of chicken broth. Allowing the mixture to reduce is important. Then I added the o"

OMG. Tried it once with regular coconut milk ... rich, but it needed a little tweaking to suit my taste. Second time I sauteed the shallots (used 4 whole shallots, then added a tablespoon of flour and butter (someone else's idea) and cooked that combo with the shallots for a few minutes.
