Reviewed Marilyn O'Reilly's Irish Soda Bread
"I am part Irish and ashamed that I've never even eaten Irish Soda Bread. This recipe put an end to that tonight! This bread got rave reviews and it was simple to pull together. The dough is a bit sticky so you need to use a lot of flour on the board. Its got the perfect touch of sweetness. I will definitely make this again. "
"I got great reviews on these cookies and I used cheap products - hershey unsweetened cocoa and white chocolate chips. I personally thought something was missing. Next time I will try it with really great products. I have to say, though, that this cookie would be PERFECT for an ICE CREAM SANDWICH, which is how she intends them to be used.
My cookies were done in 11 minutes on the rack above the middle of the oven. They were perfectly soft/firm not crunchy. 15 minutes burned them crisp (but I still ate them!). I used 2 large eggs + 1 eggwhite, so that may be why.
Reviewed Chicken Stew with Biscuits
"This is surprisingly delicious! Everyone loved it. I left out the salt from the stew part completely. it was already salty - probably because I used boxed broth. Make sure you taste it before adding the salt! This is the first time I have made biscuits successfully. You need lots of flour on the board when you turn them out. Very yummy. Next time I will invite friends over."
