Reviewed Italian “Drunken” Noodles With Spicy Italian Sausage

Jul 9, 2014 in on Food.com

This dish is SO GOOD ! The sauce has depth and the flavors linger on your palate.
I especially liked that the pasta/sausage ratio was far less than the veggies. Loads of color on the plate. Will definitely make again and again.
Makes sure to top with additional fresh basil and shaved Parmesan !"

My husband is VERY picky about his fried (or in this case baked) chicken.
After trying this, right away he said it was good, very good.
And then commented what a nice taste it leaves in your mouth.
I used boneless, skinless thighs, Panko, extra seasoning on the chicken before breading and after. Seasoned salt, pepper,...

I am posting this review to inform others "what not to do".
I prepared the sauce the night before so the flavors could blend.
Knew right away the sauce was right on target. Loved the smell of it and the thickness.
Mistake #1 I added like 1/3 cup red wine. (habit)
Preparing. Mistake #2 I used fresh mozzarel...

Very good. Very easy. Added a third package of noodles, using 3/4 of ONE seasoning packet.
Husband gave it the thumbs up."

Very good and will make again. I used italian sausage in place of the ground turkey.
Made the sauce a day in advance to refrigerate overnight.
The only change I will make next time is to cook the macaroni al dente by itself not cooked in the sauce. Which worked just fine and easier but prefer a firmer pasta.
And lastly,...

Excellent. Have tossed all my other recipes because this one stands far above all the others that I have tried. Agree with the other review that thought it was better than KFC. Yes, it is and it also is very good leftover, unlike KFC. I used an electric skillet instead of a deep pot/deep frying ? I have a feeling that the person who wrote WAY to s"

Excellent. Made it last night and my husband has talked about it today several times.
One comment was "it was sooo good, maybe too good." I cut the chicken in med size chunks.
Next time might cut the heavy whipping cream with a little half and half but not much.
Thanks for posting this recipe."

Surprised this recipe only had one review. These meatballs turned out perfect. As stated in the description, they add flavor to the sauce and to the meatballs themselves. You won';t be disappointed if you try this method. The only comment is that it says it makes 16 small meatballs. I made medium size and had to stop at 21. Running out of room...

Not sure what happened with this recipe. Spent a lot of time on it, 4x recipe, and was not happy with the results at all. Tossed it. Just a warning, try a single batch first."
