This recipe is so versatile. I used it as a starting off place and have made it a savory fall dish: with Delicata Squash (I like much better than Acorn), a mixture of chicken stock, white wine, onion/garlic/mushrooms/spinach/rosemary-thyme-turmeric, sausage, and used a more rustic black/mahogany rice mixture.

We eat at Eva's every time we are in Syracuse. I always order the Hungarian Placki and it is so good! I can't wait to try and make it myself. I think they made a typo on the number of potatoes and it should read 6-8. All I can say is...awesome! And if you like it a bit less spicy just dial it down a notch."
