"This recipe is great. I didn't use the ham hocks. I used the bone from a spiral ham during the simmer period and all the ham pieces came off the bone to add a nice meaty addition to the beans. Also used a spicy smoked sausage to add just a little kick. Didn't eat it until the second day just to let the flavors merge with each other. Will defi""
