My Activity

Reviewed Parker's Split Pea Soup

"This made a really nice dinner, paired with a salad. I added extra diced potatoes and extra carrots, and some diced celery - all of which I needed to use up. I used 4c. chick broth (all I had on hand), and 4c water. I was worried that playing too much with the ingredients/proportions would ruin it, but it still had a very nice classic pea soup flavor. I also did not puree the soup. After it had simmered a long time, the split peas had really become very creamy and the soup had a soft, just slightly chunky texture. Perfect for us. (Oh, and as other reviewers have pointed out, it does make a lot of soup - meals for days, with not much work on my part. YAY! "

Reviewed Parmesan-Roasted Broccoli

"My family actually really loves broccoli so this wasn't a hard sell. We usually do it with lemon, butter and salt. But, I absolutely LOVED the additional flavors of basil and Parmesan. The mix is bright and fragrant and complements the broccoli perfectly. My only complaint was that I didn't make nearly enough of the topping to cover all the broccoli. My brother actually said "this is a treat" when I served it as an appetizer. We scarfed down so much of this deliciously flavorful veggie there was (almost) no room for dinner. THANKS INA!
