"excellent! I also made it substituting greek yogurt for mayo and added some green and yellow peppers and wrapped in a tomato basil wrap!!! extra awesome!""
I have never been interested in cooking nor was I good at it. My 3 children were heavily involved in sports and animals and I used extra time to fix household repairs, do crafty things and just attend everything with them. Needless to say, we ate processed food or quick meals. My mom and sisters are very domestic and good cooks. At 51, I now have become obsessed with healthy cooking and learning about different foods and how to cook them. I love food network and would like to spend just one week with guy, rachel and bobby. I talked about a spice rub for turkey that I learned on tv and I actually was asked to make a turkey breast this year for our huge family gathering (my sister had a whole turkey for back-up). My entire turkey breast was finished and my sister asked me for "MY" recipe for her to make at home! I am currently learning different kitchen gadgets, how they are used and slowly purchasing a few neccessity items to enhance some cooking techniqes. The show chopped has really helped teach me about different foods and its helpful that the judges will actually comment on the best way to cook and its taste. I just subscribed to food network magazine and am having a lot of fun and my husband is enjoying my expermenting also.
