Reviewed Farro Soup in the Style of Lucca: Minestra di Faro Lucchese

I thought this lacked flavor. Followed recipe exactly with exception of beans (used pinto beans) and peas (used frozen.) perhaps those switches weakened the did. If I were to make again, I'd use chicken stock as the liquid.

I thought this soup was missing something. The flavor was not very deep or complex in my opinion. A bone-in cut of pork that poaches in the both would perhaps help. Maybe some lemongrass? I don know--I was underwhelmed."
