Reviewed perfect pot roast

This recipe was just okay. The meat was tender, carrots cooked perfectly, and wine gave it a nice rich flavor, but it just wasn't right to me. Next time I'll definitely add a few garlic cloves, add maybe add a bay leaf or 2, and put in only 2 sprigs rosemary and thyme AT THE MOST. 3 sprigs of each was overkill, even for a 5 lb roast.

The texture of the batter was AMAZING! The reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 was because I added some garlic powder, pepper, old bay, and a little paprika to the batter and it came out perfect.
