Reviewed No-Bake Key Lime Cheesecake Bars

Oct 1, 2013 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

I thought these turned out beautifully. The key lime flavor was there in mine and the chocolate melted fine. I wonder if the person used the wrong kind of chocolate. These were my favorite dessert all summer."

Reviewed Lady and Sons' Chicken in Wine Sauce

I finally made this. My husband said "it's a keeper"! It really did seem gourmet. So simple and so delicious."

Reviewed Chicken Milanese with Tomato and Fennel Sauce

Feb 26, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

We loved this. Made it last night and I was worried that there was no broth or juices to make the sauce, but the mascarpone melted into a beautiful sauce and we loved it. I told my husband that it reminded me of something from one of our favorite restaurants and he said "it's better than that". "

Reviewed Cornbread Stuffed Crown Roast of Pork

Dec 27, 2010 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

I couldn't get a 5 lb. roast either. Mine was 8+ lbs. I live in a good size city. A 5 pound roast wouldn't be big enough, or have enough ribs on it for them to tie them in a circle. The recipe was confusing. I watched the show and she put it in with the bone ends up. Her recipe says, turn the roast upside down. At the end of the recipe, she...

This was so delicious. We devoured it. So simple.

Reviewed Chicken Georgia

Nov 17, 2010 in Food Network Community Toolbox on Food Network

I have seen this episode two different times and had copied the recipe twice. The recipe kept getting buried under other recipes and I decided it must be good for me to watch twice and print it up twice, so I finally made it last night and it was so good. I might have put in a tad more mushrooms than the one cup and so I didn't have any problem...

Reviewed Almond, Pine Nut, Apricot Crumb Cake

Nov 16, 2010 in Food Network Community Toolbox on Food Network

This is such a good crumb cake. I got out my cake stand and presented it to our company, looking like perfection. Everyone loved it. It's now one of my regulars for company or for a special occasion.

Reviewed Slow Cooker Red Beans and Rice

Nov 16, 2010 in Food Network Community Toolbox on Food Network

We felt like this recipe needed a bit more flavor. I found the correct sausage and no trouble finding the beans, but I think it could be more flavorful. I'll have to check more recipes to see what I could add...possibly green pepper and a few more ingredients.

Reviewed Pancetta and Herb Brussels Sprouts

Nov 2, 2010 in Food Network Community Toolbox on Food Network

This was such a good way to do brussel sprouts. They were very good. I'll make them again. By the way, the review under this review should really try the recipe before rating it. That throws the rating scale off. Rate after you try the recipe, not before. That makes no sense.

Reviewed My Favorite Fried Rice

Nov 2, 2010 in Food Network Community Toolbox on Food Network

I liked this fried rice but I had made one last week from a Sunny Anderson show and it was so good that this one came in second with my family. I still liked it though.

Reviewed Smothered Pork Chops

Nov 2, 2010 in Food Network Community Toolbox on Food Network

I bought good porkchops with the nice tenderloin and they were so tender, we didn't need a knife to cut them with. We loved the flavors and I'll make these again.

Reviewed Bangin' Bacon and Cheddar Scones

Everyone seemed to like these scones. I might have used a little less salt but all in all, they were flavorful.

Reviewed Spicy Broccoli Saute

Oct 30, 2010 in Food Network Community Toolbox on Food Network

This was such an easy way to make a real flavorful broccoli.

Reviewed Bake Me Crazy Chicken with Gravy

Oct 30, 2010 in Food Network Community Toolbox on Food Network

I would make this again and probably will. We all liked it and the chicken was very moist. The butcher was able to d-bone it for me so I didn't have to. Otherwise, I never see chicken at the store with skin on but d-boned. Sauce was very good too.

Reviewed Quick Veggie Stir-Fry

Oct 28, 2010 in Food Network Community Toolbox on Food Network

The potstickers and rice were so good, but I won't be trying the stir-fry again. The cabbage and sauce together almost gave it a sauerkraut consistency and taste.

Reviewed Easy Shrimp Potstickers

Thank you Sunny. These potstickers were so delicious. Easy as can be, too.

Reviewed Pork-Fried Dirty Rice

We loved this recipe. Yum! I'm going to try a half tablespoon chili sauce next time though, as it was a little spicy for me. Husband and son thought the heat was fine.

Wasn't crazy about this recipe. Thought it would be much better. I noticed that I had printed it at two separate times, that's how good it looked to me. Now I see some people talking about their leaving out 2 T. olive oil. Maybe that would have helped. Guess I won't know, as I'm throwing away the recipes.

Reviewed Baked Panzanella Caprese

Oct 15, 2010 in Food Network Community Toolbox on Food Network

This was a hit with us. I would have even given it a higher mark, but there was so much water that came out of the tomatoes. We were able to leave the water in the dish though, and just scooped the tomatoes etc. out with a spachela. The flavor was delicious and I was glad to use the homegrown tomatoes from our garden. If you really don't like salmon, this would work for you. The lemon sauce disguised the flavor of the fish. Actually, the crust did too. We all ate it in silence, not really liking it. Rip this recipe up now. One less to file, as I make a lot of recipes from all the chefs on the foodnetwork.
