Surprised at the results...I am an experienced baker, love Ina, and have made MANY of her recipes. I was looking for a gingerbread that was more moist than my "go to" recipe so I tried this one. Was surprised it didn't have any eggs but tried it anyway. It turned out extremely dense and took a LOT longer to bake all the way through...i'm confused!...

This review is for the frosting alone. Although delicious, it has the consistency of soft fudge. It does not stick to the cake for frosting it, it falls off. It took a LOT of work to fix it and get it to be actual frosting that was smooth and spread over the cake. Perhaps Paula can rework it a bit so it will be a smoother frosting, I added mor"
