This is a great recipe. But definitely go by the "4 sweet potato" recommendation rather than the pounds- because 1 3/4 pounds wasn't enough the first time I made this. It was way too soupy. But if you use 4 good sized potatoes it turns out perfectly! My husband loves this, and he isn't really a big sweet potato fan. What's not to like?!

If you have the time to make this dish, it is a winner! My husband requests it for all special occasions, and we never get tired of it. I leave out the peas and nutmeg when I make it, just because I'm not a fan of those ingredients- but there is still plenty of flavor! Love it!
