"I read the other review and found it a little harsh. I followed the recipe (made half of it)...but I did add my own touches...and isn't that all part of cooking anyway? First I cooked a few slices of bacon, then added cut up fresh asparagus and garlic, then I dropped in the cooked dumplings. I browned it all up and then added some salt and pepper. I crumbled the bacon on it when it went to the table. I served it with oven-cooked boneless chicken thighs. It was a hit Sandra! LOL...I forgot the cocktail thought! Next time! :-)"
