I mixed the spices, salt and sugar before sprinkling it on the meat, and used Frank's Hot Sweet Chili Sauce instead for a more barbecue aspect, since I have lots of "hot" recipes. Got raves from my husband! I think you could use bone in (but remove the skin) thighs without too much added work, since I shredded the meat while hot with forks.""
