My Activity

Reviewed Corn and Poblano Lasagna

"This was not at all what I was expecting. The poblanos are so mild that this almost tastes like an alfredo vegetable lasagna. Anyway, prep time was pretty extensive and I thought overall it was a lot of work for a "good" dish. I followed the recipe pretty closely. The only changes I made were to sub dry for fresh thyme and I used mexican squas"

"The taste was spot-on. Mine didn't get that dark brown mahogany color though. Surprisingly easy recipe and a great dough to work with.""

Reviewed Mamo's Apple Strudel

"I made this for family dinner last night. It got rave reviews. My sister even said it was "the best apple dessert I have ever eaten". This recipe was pretty hard and time consuming though, so even though it was really delicious, I probably won't make it again unless I have a lot of time on my hands.""

Reviewed Roasted Tom and Jack Grilled Cheese Sandwiches

"My mother made this for dinner after watching the show and served it with a similar soup. It was VERY delicious. Roasting the tomatoes makes all the difference in the world...so don't substitute anything for them. I LOVE the cilantro flavor dipped in the creamy soup!"

Reviewed Shrimp Bisque

"This was pretty good! It wasn't as creamy as I was hoping. I'm sure I could have added more cream to get this effect, but I didn't want the extra calories. Overall, pretty good. I probably won't make it again though. DONT SKIP THE SHERRY! Gives the best flavor!
