"I have been using this recipe since 2004. It is by far the best I have ever used. No truer words were spoke when they say: Once you brine you never go back. I do not prepare any turkey, without brining it first.
Thank you, Alton for this fantastic recipe. I sometimes add other ingredients to give it a brighter flavor, such as oranges, tangerines,garlic, etc.
I have been watching Food Network for over a decade now. I started watching because of Emeril.As each new program emerged, I became a great fan of the network. Baking is my passion and I love to cook most anything. I am always in the kitchen trying to mix ingredients for a better and better taste profile. I am a recent Le Cordon Bleu graduate in the pastry arts. I love cooking for my family and friends. I am a widow, with two grown sons with families of their own. The Holidays are my favorite time of the year, as I love to try new recipes because they make such wonderful gifts. I enjoy teaching people how to bake and cook.
